trace elements and vitamins to horses and ponies, whether fully at grass or part-time
stabled. Where branded concentrate feeding is discontinued or reduced the Block
is an ideal top-up of essential micronutrients.
The Cheshire manufactured 10kg licking block is produced under controlled pressure,
with only a light ‘coating’ of molasses for assured palatability. Its inbuilt hardness
prevents excessive intakes in normal conditions of free-access feeding. Therefore,
the Block represents significant progress from high molasses content licking products
that must be carefully managed to prevent over-consumption.
